Event Format

Each event may have different settings, this is where the event format comes into play. There are already some default formats included. The event format allows you set up specific settings for an event such as an age group, how to pay winnings, and the drag interval.

Settings

Name

The name of the event format. This can be any name, but will be seen on the website and on draw and result sheets.

Payout Percentage

How much of the entry fees will be paid out to riders in a percentage format.

Age Ranges

All Ages

When checked, riders of all ages can compete in this event.

Start Age

The starting age for this event. Riders must be this age or older to compete in the event. If you check the &Over box, you no longer need to select an end age. All riders at or over the start age will be eligible for this event.

End Age

The end age for this event. Riders must be this age or younger to compete in the event. If you check the $Under box, you no longer need to select a start age. All riders at or under the end age will be eligible for this event.

Split Class

Should the class be split into two for point purposes? Typically used for NBHA when the Youth and Teen classes are combined for competition, but points need to be calculated separately.

Split Age

At what age to split the class? Entries with an age equal to or older than this will be pointed with the upper class name. Entries with an age younger will be pointed with the lower class name.

Upper Split Point Class Name

What you are going to name the upper age split class. Ex. NBHA Teen

Lower Split Point Class Name

What you are going to name the lower age split class. Ex. NBHA Youth

Rider Age Date

How rider ages are calculated. Do they need to be the age by the start of the calendar year or the start of the season where the show is present.

Added Money Split

Will added money be split evenly for each division or will it follow the % ratio for the divisions in the payout settings?

Payout Setting

The payout setting for the class. Can be created on an organization. Can use the setting from ANY organization.

Drag Interval

How may runs between arena drags. Will be printed on the draw order printout.
