Licensing

SpeedySteeds operates on a monthly or yearly subscription model. Your subscription includes all features, including online pre-registration and live results.

Adding or Changing a License

Navigate to the Settings tab
Find the Licensing section
Enter your license key
Click Validate to verify the key against the server
Click Activate to register this machine

The interface displays both a License Status (is the key valid?) and a Machine Registration status (is this specific machine activated?).

Renewal

Your license expiration date matches your subscription renewal date. When your subscription renews automatically, your license extends with it - no action needed on your part.

Trial Period

New accounts receive a trial period. During the trial:

All features are available
A banner in the app indicates the remaining trial time
When the trial expires, activate a subscription to continue using the software

Your license key stays the same from trial through subscription. You do not need a new key.

FAQ

I let my subscription lapse. Do I need a new key?

No. No matter how long between active subscription periods, your key stays the same. After resubscribing, either restart the application or click the Validate button in Settings to reactivate.

When does my license expire?

Your license is valid until the end of your current paid subscription period. When your subscription ends, so does your license. Your data remains on your machine - you just can’t use the application until you resubscribe.

Can I use my key on multiple machines?

Your key can be activated on a limited number of machines. If you reach the machine limit, deactivate an old machine from your online profile before activating a new one.
