Running a ShowResult Submission

Result Submission

SpeedySteeds publishes show data - including results, draws, and billing - to the SpeedySteeds website so contestants, producers, and spectators can view them online. Publishing can happen automatically as you work or manually on demand.

Auto-Sync

When Auto-Sync is enabled in Settings, results and show data are published to the website automatically as you make changes. Each time you enter a time, update a score, generate a draw, or modify show details, the change is queued and sent to the website after a short debounce delay:

Data typeDebounce delay
Results3 seconds
Draws2 seconds
Show details5 seconds

This means the website stays up to date in near real-time without any manual action. Auto-sync requires an active license and network connection.

Enabling Auto-Sync

  1. Open Settings
  2. Toggle the Auto-Sync switch on

Manual Publishing

You can also publish data manually at any time using the Web Actions menu (globe icon) on each show. This is useful when auto-sync is off, when you want to push a batch of changes at once, or when you need to re-publish after a network interruption.

Web Actions Menu

Click the globe icon on a show row to open the Web Actions menu. The available actions are:

IconActionWhat it publishes
Cloud uploadPublish AllShow details, billing, draws, and results for every visible event - a full sync of everything
Upload filePublish ShowShow details and billing only (event list, dates, location, fees)
ShufflePublish DrawsDraw orders for all visible events
TrophyPublish ResultsResults for all visible events
DownloadGet Online RegistrationsPulls registrations and fees submitted through the online sign-up portal into the desktop app
CopyCopy Show LinkCopies the show’s public URL to your clipboard
LinkPrint QR CodeOpens a printable QR code linking to the show’s public page

Events with Hide from Web enabled are skipped during publishing. Use this to keep draft or internal events off the public site.

Per-Event Publishing

Each completed event also has a Publish Results button directly on the event detail screen. This publishes results for that single event without affecting other events in the show.

The button shows progress feedback:

  • A spinner while the upload is in progress
  • A green check on success
  • A red X if the publish fails (e.g., no network connection)

Retry Behavior

If a publish fails due to a network issue, the request is added to a retry queue. SpeedySteeds retries failed publishes up to 3 times with a 5-second delay between attempts. If all retries are exhausted, the publish is dropped and you can re-trigger it manually from the Web Actions menu.

Submitting to Sanctioning Bodies

Results are submitted to sanctioning bodies (IBRA, NBHA, IPRA, etc.) via manual export. Use the Printing & Exporting tools to generate PDF or Excel result sheets, then send them to the sanctioning body through their preferred channel (email, online portal, mail).
